Cause of death: Breast Cancer

Concetta and Frank Russo moved from Staten Island to Keyport in 1940. He died in 1945. The direct cause of her death was Carcinomatosis - a condition marked by the production of an overwhelming number of cancers throughout her body. Cancer of her right breast was first diagnosed on May 28, 1949. On January 3, 1951, surgeons removed her breast. She died nearly 8 months later, on August 27, 1951.
