Nanny in Italy

The inscription on the back of the photo says "veduta dal tetto della chiese di Monreale in Palermo"

which translates as "The view from the roof of the Monreale church in Palermo"

According to cousin Sam Wyckoff, the woman next to Nanny is Concetta (Frazzetto) Cannizzaro, the wife of Giuseppe Cannizzaro, who was the younger brother of Nanny's husband Salvatore. The couple behind them is Concetta and Giuseppe's son and daughter, Sebastiano "Nello" Cannizzaro and Gina (Cannizzaro) Baressi.

Nanny visited Italy several years after her husband's death in 1953. Here is the record of the flight she took to Rome via TWA in September of 1958. She was already living with her daughter Minnie.
